WHEN IN doubt, ask the experts! That's the tack most producers take when they're at a loss as to how to accomplish something. Experts galore will be on hand to answer producer questions at the seventh annual National Conservation Tillage Cotton and Rice Conference, set for Jan. 15-16 at the Grand Casino Convention Center at Tunica, Miss.
“The 40-plus researchers who will lead breakout sessions are experts in their fields at their respective universities, which are academic co-sponsors for the conference,” says John LaRose, president of MidAmerica Farm Publications, which sponsors the conference. Farm Press Publications is media co-sponsor for the event.
The universities are Louisiana State University, Auburn University, Mississippi State University, University of Tennessee, University of Arkansas, University of Missouri, and Texas A&M University.
Also participating in the sessions are over 30 producer presenters who have been successful in implementing the latest technologies into their operations.
Altogether, LaRose notes, there will be more than 70 presentations by researchers and producers from which conference attendees can choose. “This is a perfect opportunity for producers to meet and discuss problems and ideas with experts, both researchers and producers.”
