2009 was a “devastating year” for Mid-South soybean producers. Rains mostly came at the wrong times, costing growers hundreds of millions of dollars in yield and quality losses, according to Trey Koger, Mississippi’s Extension soybean specialist.

Koger talked about 2009 and offered growers some tips for preparing for 2010 during a presentation at the Ag Issues Forum sponsored by Bayer CropScience at this year’s Commodity Classic in Anaheim, Calif.
