Weather reduces Louisiana soybean acreage, prospects

Louisiana soybean farmers were expected to plant 1.2 million acres to the crop in 2011, but adverse weather conditions reduced the actual plantings to about 900,000. Levy was interviewed at this year’s LSU Rice Research Station Field Day near Crowley, La.
