Raising Delta water levels may require thinking outside box: Part II

Declining water levels in several parts of the Delta region are causing scientists to look at new ways to put water back into the aquifers where farmers are drawing it out. One possibility is an approach called Aquifer Storage and Recovery or ASR systems. The USDA Agricultural Research Service’s James Rigby discussed the pros and cons of such systems at the 2016 Mississippi Water Resources Conference in Jackson.
