Rice quality task force encounters differences in yields and quality

The U.S. rice industry is relatively small when compared to corn, wheat or soybeans. That means that complaints about quality of U.S. rice can have severe ramifications up and down the supply chain. The USA Rice Marketability and Competitiveness Task Force gave a report on a recent round of complaints at the USA Rice Outlook Conference in San Diego. Co-Chair Bobby Hanks discussed the report in the interview at the conference.
