Mid-South gins recognized for outstanding safety programs

Seventeen Mid-South gins have earned highest honors for their safety programs and were presented Gold Awards for Excellence at the annual meeting of the Southern Cotton Ginners Association.

“We're very proud of all these gins and the accomplishments they've made in creating and constantly promoting a safe workplace,” said Larry Davis, safety director for the SCGA. “Our goal continues to be to have an accident-free, injury-free workplace for all gin employees.”

The association conducts an extensive program of personnel safety training for gins, including a wide array of printed materials, signs, videos, and other aids to promote safety awareness.
