Louisiana corn and soybean producers can hear about the latest research designed to help them grow profitable crops during the 2008 Louisiana Corn and Soybean Forum slated for Jan. 15 at the Delhi Civic Center in Delhi, La.
LSU AgCenter agent Keith Collins of Richland Parish said a variety of topics will be addressed during the forum, which begins at 8:30 a.m.
Presentations will include information on crop nutrient removal, corn bagging systems, fungicides, use of poultry, insects and wheat/soybean double-cropping considerations.
The annual Cotton Forum will be held Jan. 23, at the Delhi Civic Center beginning at 9 a.m.
Topics will include wheat/cotton double-cropping considerations and cotton varieties for 2008. Other presentations will feature cotton seed treatments, crop nutrient removal, an insect update, precision application for nematodes and reducing incidence of weed resistance.
