STAX may be stand-alone coverage in some regions of Cotton Belt

Michael Rochelle says cotton producers in the Mid-South have rarely had problems achieving yields because of their reliance on rainfall and irrigation. Where they’ve had problems is with revenue when prices dropped or yields weren’t quite up to expectations. That’s why, in some cases, the Stacked Income Protection Program or STAX may be the only coverage growers elect to purchase under the new farm bill, as he explains in this video.
