NPDES and ESA creating fluid situation for EPA watchers in Washington - Part 1

EPA is fast approaching its court-extended deadline of Oct. 31 for implementing the new National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System or NPDES permits. The Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell have been trying to negotiate a two-year moratorium on the permits. CPDA’s Susan Ferenc discussed the ongoing efforts to address the issue during this week’s Southern Crop Production Association annual meeting in Charleston, S.C.
