Delta Council 2018 annual meeting photographic review

The rich tradition of the Delta Council Annual Meeting did not disappoint those who wanted to celebrate the Delta's economic, education, and farming success.

Chip Morgan has been the executive vice president of the Delta Council for over four decades. At the 2018 Delta Council meeting, long-time friend and former Delta Council president, Dick Flowers, said in his remarks celebrating Morgan’s career, “Chip is a master of guiding people to positive outcomes - often leaving no footprints.”

Also celebrated at the meeting held June 1 on the campus of Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss., were the educational achievements of over 300 high-school students from public, private, and parochial schools, whose efforts prove they merit the accolades given by Dr. Alfred Rankins Jr., president, Alcorn State University, and commissioner-elect for the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Education, and Mississippi State Sen. Briggs Hopson, vice-chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee and a member of the Universities and Colleges Committee.

The images in this photo gallery are a snapshot of this year’s Delta Council meeting where friends, families, and the Delta’s educational and business communities gathered to highlight the best of the Delta’s best.
