Cotton economist Anderson to retire

CARL ANDERSON, nationally respected cotton marketing analyst and Texas A&M University Extension agricultural economist, will retire Aug. 31 after a 35-year association with the university's Department of Agricultural Economics.

In a letter announcing the retirement, Roland Smith, associate department head for Extension for the Agricultural Economics Department, said Anderson has made a tremendous difference “that translates into a healthier economic climate for the Texas cotton producer.”

A graduate assistant scholarship fund has been established to honor Anderson's decades of work.
