pigweeds in soybeans

Pigposium 3 right around the corner

Feb. 28 in Forrest City, Ark.

PPO-resistant pigweed is here and has become widespread across the Mid-South, especially in Northeast, Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, West Tennessee and Northeast Mississippi.

On February 28, at the Fine Arts Center of the East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City, Ark., we will focus on ways to chemically manage pigweed that is resistant to multiple herbicide modes of action as well as cultural methods that reduce pigweed populations which can be incorporated into a farming system.  Additional topics will include discussion around new technologies and how to effectively incorporate these systems into a weed management program as well as use requirements that reduce the potential for off-target movement.

If you plan on attending the meeting, please register online at https://forms.uaex.edu/mediaresources/pigposium.asp. The meeting will start at 9:00 a.m. with a full schedule until 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
