As part of the Crystal Springs, Miss., Tomato Festival, to be held June 23-24, a Farmers' Market will be held downtown in Railroad Park (June 24 only). Growers who will have produce ready to sell by late June are needed. Any locally grown produce is acceptable.
Participation is not limited to full-time growers. Anyone with a surplus from a garden can participate.
There are two requirements: (1) all produce for sale must be grown in Mississippi; (2) an application must be filled out and returned.
There is still no fee for participants. An application is available from Rick Snyder, Professor & Vegetable Specialist, Truck Crops Experiment Station, P.O. Box 231, Crystal Springs, MS 39059 ((601) 892-3731 or [email protected]). Applications should be submitted by June 16.
