‘Living Acres’ project aimed at increasing monarch butterfly populations

Farmers have come under scrutiny following reported declines in the population of monarch butterflies. The butterflies reproduce only on milkweed, a problem weed in many Midwest corn and soybean fields. BASF is working on a project that could demonstrate that farmers can be part of the solution to restoring the monarch as BASF’s Luke Bozeman explained in this video from BASF’s Living Acres event at Commodity Classic in New Orleans, La.
