Northeast Arkansas verification field tour scheduled for July 26

ON JULY 26, farmers in northeast Arkansas can tour farms participating in Arkansas Extension's verification programs in corn, soybeans, rice and cotton.

“This is a good opportunity for farmers, consultants, industry personnel, researchers and promotion board members to see several crops rolled into one in a day-long tour,” said Frank Groves, Extension cotton verification program coordinator.

Participants can see how various crops are doing in verification fields where research-based university technology is used and Extension recommendations are followed.

Groves said participants will meet in Jonesboro, Ark., at 10 a.m., tour farms in Poinsett County and finish at 4:30 p.m. The itinerary is still being prepared.
