USDA and the U.S. Department of Justice’s first-ever Workshop on Competition and Regulatory Issues in Agriculture continues to draw comments from farmers and industry members.

Ray Gaesser, vice president of the American Soybean Association and a soybean and corn producer from Corning, Iowa, was a member of a panel on the effect of technological developments and structural changes on the seed industry at the workshop.

Gaesser talked about those developments and about ASA’s concerns about Roundup Ready going off patent in an interview following his appearance at the workshop in Ankeny, Iowa.
