Peanut harvest gaining steam after slow start

With the increase in acres in 2015 U.S. peanut growers are on track to harvest a crop of 3.1 million tons. What happens to those peanuts has been a subject of conjecture, but peanut market analyst Tyron Spearman believes the industry will work through the storage issue with the help of some new peanut warehouses and on-the-farm storage. Spearman was interviewed at this year’s Sunbelt Expo in Moultrie, Ga.
