BOURNE, Mass. – Onset Computer Corp. has introduced the HOBO U12 Outdoor/Industrial Data Logger, a high-accuracy, four-channel logger for monitoring temperature and other parameters in outdoor environments.
As an enhanced version of the company’s popular HOBO H8 Outdoor/Industrial model, the HOBO U12 provides research scientists and others with a number of important new features:
12-bit resolution – enables high-accuracy measurements and compatibility with a broad range of external third-party sensors.
Flexible software support – users can choose either Windows or Mac OS X software to plot and analyze data collected with HOBO U12 Outdoor/Industrial loggers.
Direct USB interface – enables high-speed data offload (43,000 measurements in as little as 30 seconds).
The HOBO U12 Outdoor/Industrial also features a NEMA 6-rated weatherproof enclosure, and accepts Onset’s plug-in temperature probes, as well as a broad range of third-party sensors with 0-2.5V or 4-20mA outputs.
For data plotting and analysis, Onset offers GreenLine software (for Windows), and HOBOware software (for Macintosh). These software packages enable users to launch and readout HOBO U12 loggers with point-and-click simplicity, and offer a number of other convenient features, such as one-click conversion of data for easy upload into spreadsheet applications and the ability to view multiple channels from a single logger on one graph.
The new HOBO U12 Outdoor/Industrial Data Logger is priced at $199 and is currently available from Onset Computer Corp. Greenline and HOBOware software packages are priced at $59, and are also currently available from Onset.
