These are the farmer stories we told in 2016

Across the Mid-South there is a diverse group of men and women producing the crops which support much of the region's economy. Each has a unique story. Here are some we told in 2016.

Young farmers setting yield records. The spread of cover crops. Farmers taking different approaches to control of weeds — in particular, resistant pigweed. Conservation of natural resources. Adoption of new technologies.

Multi-generation farm families.

Two who have seen so much of the history of Mid-South agriculture.

And one farmer’s determined battle with disease.

These are just some of the farmers and their families featured in Delta Farm Press during 2016.
