Making every acre count

As anyone who has ever looked at a soils map knows, there can be a lot of variability in a cotton field in the Delta or the Southeast.

Fertilizer or plant growth regulator applications at one end of the field may not necessarily be at the right rate for the other.

Until now, growers had to make a blanked rate for the entire field. But, as Russ Linhart with Trimble Navigation said in this video interview at the Sunbelt Expo this fall, producers can now change the rate up to 36 times an acre with new technology.
