Grazing can provide another benefit for planting cover crops

Cover crops can provide a number of benefits including improving soil health and suppressing weeds. One area that hasn’t received much attention is the benefit of allowing cattle to graze winter cover crops. Allen Williams, a sustainable agricultural specialist who taught at Mississippi State University, talked about the practice at the Southern Agricultural Cover Crops, Soil Health and Water Management Conference in Jonesboro, Ark.
