Lincoln hopeful on disaster aid

Mid-South growers have been closely following the fate of disaster assistance legislation in Congress. Commodity Groups believe the legislation will be needed for some farmers to stay in business in 2010. In a speech at the Mid-South Farm and Gin Show, Sen. Blanche Lincoln discussed the prospects for the legislation. The Arkansas Democrat is chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry.
