Farmers attending this year’s Sunbelt Expo had the opportunity to hear about several new technologies during special technology update sessions sponsored by the Expo, Southern States Cooperative and Southeast Farm Presssister publication of Delta Farm Press.
One of those was the site-specific application of Telone II soil fumigant for the control of nematodes in cotton. Growers have known that Telone provides season-long control of the microscopic pests, but have been reluctant to shoulder the expense when cotton prices were low.
In this video from one of the update sessions, Matt Hoffman, Telone II product specialist with Dow AgroSciences, describes research that is demonstrating how growers can maximize cotton yields with reduced applications of Telone II.
