PET network one of the keys to calculating water use: Part IV

Getting started on tracking potential evapo-transpiration or PET will require some work, but it can pay off in helping growers make the best use of their irrigation capacity. Bob Glodt, a crop consultant who has been working closely with the Texas Alliance for Water Conservation, says the first thing growers need is access to a PET network that uses local weather data. Then they need to be able to answer several other questions about their irrigation systems and soils.
