Nicosia featured speaker at Cotton Market Roundtable in New York July 24

Joe Nicosia will be joined by a panel of cotton market experts at the International Commodity Exchange or ICE location in New York. They will include Dr. O.A. Cleveland, professor emeritus at Mississippi State University; Jarral Neeper, president of Calcot Ltd.; and Kipp Butts, cotton analyst with Informa Economics.

Joe Nicosia, executive vice president of Louis Dreyfus Commodities LLC, will be the featured speaker at this year’s Cotton Market Roundtable in New York on July 24.

It will begin at 8:30 a.m. Eastern and conclude at 10 a.m.

Nicosia has been the featured speaker at the Beltwide Cotton Conferences and at the Mid-South Farm and Gin Show.

He took over the cotton market outlook role at both events from retired Memphis cotton merchant Billy Dunavant.

He will be joined by a panel of cotton market experts at the International Commodity Exchange or ICE location in New York. They will include Dr. O.A. Cleveland, professor emeritus at Mississippi State University; Jarral Neeper, president of Calcot Ltd.; and Kipp Butts, cotton analyst with Informa Economics.

A graduate of Dartmouth College, Nicosia began working for Louis Dreyfus Commodities as a grain trader in Minneapolis. In 1982, he transferred to Allenberg Cotton Co., in Memphis, and, in 1985, assumed responsibility for cotton trading worldwide.

He was previously chief executive officer of Allenberg Cotton Co. from 1991 to 2012, and from 1989 to 2000 he also served as president of Allenberg Cotton Co. He was director of Louis Dreyfus Corporation from 1995 to 2010 and currently serves as senior head of merchandizing platforms at Dreyfus.
